From April 1st, 2017, Kessler will take over all administration and data-processing mandates for pension funds from Mercer in Switzerland. Both companies have agreed on this extended partnership following cooperative discussions.
With the transferral of the mandates, the Mercer employees currently responsible for pension administra-tion solutions will transfer to Kessler, as well. “With this approach, we can ensure continuity and a con-sistent service quality for Mercer’s clients. Apart from the name of their contractual partner, nothing will change for them”, says Douglas Mueller, member of the Kessler executive board. «Merging the customer portfolios of Kessler and Mercer allows us to generate new synergy effects while also creating development opportunities for our employees.»
Catherine Schoendorff, CEO of Mercer in Switzerland, comments: «For us, Kessler was the obvious and best choice for this partnership. Following the cooperation, Mercer will further develop and extend its deep expertise for institutional investors. As a result, pension funds will be able to deliver their services more effectively while also generating the returns they need in an increasingly difficult market place. With the partnership, we create synergies that will benefit both our clients and our two companies».
