René Fernandez started his career at Kessler in the Special Risks business unit. Following a detour to another insurer, he returned to Kessler in 2014 as Team Leader in the Financial Lines business unit. As Practice Leader, he was responsible for various areas of financial lines insurance, which as of this year also includes cyber insurance. On May 1, he became the first Head of the new business unit of Special Risks. René Fernandez is a VBV insurance broker and has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (ZFH).
In making this addition to the management team, Kessler is honoring the strong business development of the Special Risks business unit and setting the course for further growth. René will be an ideal complement and reinforcement for the management team.”
The Special Risks business unit will now be led by three unit heads. Along with René Fernandez (Financial Services and ICT), these are Christian Peters (Commercial, Multinational, Claims) and Timo Salvisberg (Credit, Private Equity and M&A).
